Vs. 86 — All Your commandments are faithful; They persecute me wrongfully; Help me!

Charles H. Spurgeon:

Whatever the command might cost him it was worth it; he felt that God’s way might be rough, but it was right; it might make him enemies, but still it was his best friend. He believed that in the end God’s command would turn out to his own profit, and that he should be no loser by obeying it. (Spurgeon, C. H. (2009). The treasury of David: Psalms 111-119 (Vol. 5, p. 306). Bellingham, WA: Logos Bible Software.)

Prayer:

Father, all Your commandments are faithful. Help me to be faithful to Your word. Strengthen my resolve to focus and walk in Your ways. Your word is established forever. When I stray from Your faithful word, use Your staff and rod to bring me back. Though I am distracted and too oft’ unfaithful, I still know that Your way is right and good. Your grace and mercy keeps me in Thee. Thank you.
